With the imminent release of my first mobile game (It's being reviewed for the major app stores) - My thoughts turn to "What's Next?"

The first game was a simple test to see what can/can't be done, how things work, and how the difference device families handle things. Lots of Learning, some of it painful - some of it absolutely hilarious… More on that game in a couple of days when it launches!  (Including concept art, etc.)

NEXT:
I want to jump into the deep end - more immersive, challenging and FUN gameplay - and see where the platforms can take us.

I have questions and I figure this is a good a place as any to ask for a semi-random cross-sample of people who probably enjoy a little "escapism".

So - If you play games, preferably on a mobile device - (or if you have opinions about why you DON'T play games on mobile devices?)

What genre/type of games do you play?

What genre/type of games would you LIKE to play?

What esthetic (look and feel) do you LOVE (or wish that there was more of?)

There are a lot more questions - but I'd prefer to handle them via email in order to get more direct feedback - if you're interested, please let me know!

I've played a number of games on the mobile platform, and I find that most of them are what I would call throw away, you play them for a very short time and toss em for whatever is new.

The thing I find most lacking are good RPG's.  Among the best i've played for the mobile platforms is Battle Heart.  It was a very easy to use interface very intuitive, lots of skill and equipment growth.  The real lacking to it was lack of levels, you simply finish it while your still on the run up, just getting set in the "this is awesome" and its over.

I'm an RPG gamer from back in the early days of computers and that's what i long for most on my mobile, is something that I can jump in and out of even if I only have 5 minutes but also if I have 5 hours.  An overhead scroller like bards tale or Baulder's Gate really doesn't work well, but it seems some strategy/rpg with real time battles similar to Battle Heart could work well.  Think Lord's of the Rising Sun from the early 90's it had a fantastic balance of strategy and real time battles that just meshed super well and could translate to mobile, letting you have the overal picture, but then get in close for real time battles where you could have a better control mechanism.
