With the imminent release of my first mobile game (It's being reviewed for the major app stores) - My thoughts turn to "What's Next?"
The first game was a simple test to see what can/can't be done, how things work, and how the difference device families handle things. Lots of Learning, some of it painful - some of it absolutely hilarious… More on that game in a couple of days when it launches! (Including concept art, etc.)
NEXT:
I want to jump into the deep end - more immersive, challenging and FUN gameplay - and see where the platforms can take us.
I have questions and I figure this is a good a place as any to ask for a semi-random cross-sample of people who probably enjoy a little "escapism".
So - If you play games, preferably on a mobile device - (or if you have opinions about why you DON'T play games on mobile devices?)
What genre/type of games do you play?
What genre/type of games would you LIKE to play?
What esthetic (look and feel) do you LOVE (or wish that there was more of?)
There are a lot more questions - but I'd prefer to handle them via email in order to get more direct feedback - if you're interested, please let me know!

Vegas
New job has me working +75% of my time in Vegas - so I'm learning a new area, and looking for new things to shoot.
If you're in Vegas or going to be in Vegas, please get in touch and lets see what we can create!
There appears to be a LOT of opportunity for creativity that's different from Washington - but it's also a desert - so a new challenge too!
There is a lot of focus on glamour - hoping to find some creatives and concepts to work with.
More fun - hope to have some new images up soon!
dA B-Day
I had to look, but according to dA - I've been her SIX years.
Highs and lows - seing great art, and sifting through the chaff, the debacles over sharing/DDs, etc. Yet it is still a place for a free expression - art of all shapes and kinds - a bit of flavor for all my tastes.
I looked back to see what my first :+fav: was - and appropriately it was a shoot with ~silvergrey (https://www.deviantart.com/silvergrey)

Since then - it's pretty easy to tack my tastes - Colors, Emotions, and Faces...
I think what I enjoy most though is the artistic support and camaraderie.
Thank you all.

A time for change...
After a lot of trials challenges - things appear to be headed in a better direction... both in career and creative opportunities.
I looked up the details - and for almost exactly 4 years, I've been trying to put together a specific look. It's technically challenging but it looks like I'm in the right place and time to actually do it. Now I just need to pick the locations - which is likely to be the hard part. Seattle is a little lacking in the esthetic I want - and where I live is even worse! And what I wouldn't give to work with some of the people I watch on dA...
Alright kids - back to work (both real and creative!) - but I wanted to stop
A Change
Is it possible to even do this?
I need between 6 and 9 models.
Different Colors,
Different Sizes,
Different Shapes,
Different Textures.
No photoshop/editing of the model (Just framing/cropping and B&W conversion? Maybe some texture/background...
No Makeup. (except for one shot of each model.)
No hairstyle - just the natural look.
The trick is finding 6-9 GOOD models- maybe GREAT models...
I think I know one who will do this.
It's different from anything I've done.
Let's Do This.

I've played a number of games on the mobile platform, and I find that most of them are what I would call throw away, you play them for a very short time and toss em for whatever is new.
The thing I find most lacking are good RPG's. Among the best i've played for the mobile platforms is Battle Heart. It was a very easy to use interface very intuitive, lots of skill and equipment growth. The real lacking to it was lack of levels, you simply finish it while your still on the run up, just getting set in the "this is awesome" and its over.
I'm an RPG gamer from back in the early days of computers and that's what i long for most on my mobile, is something that I can jump in and out of even if I only have 5 minutes but also if I have 5 hours. An overhead scroller like bards tale or Baulder's Gate really doesn't work well, but it seems some strategy/rpg with real time battles similar to Battle Heart could work well. Think Lord's of the Rising Sun from the early 90's it had a fantastic balance of strategy and real time battles that just meshed super well and could translate to mobile, letting you have the overal picture, but then get in close for real time battles where you could have a better control mechanism.
